It's Alright That I Don't Like Public Speaking

£900.00

Series: It’s Alright

In my first week at art school in Paris as a teenager, a tutor told me he wouldn’t wipe his backside with my painting, in front of a class I barely knew. I carried the belief that I wasn’t good enough for years, and stopped painting. The title refers back to that experience of being singled out and judged in public. Making this painting is my way of saying that I won’t let someone else’s judgement silence me again.
