Hello!
It feels like such a significant milestone to be introducing myself here — on a website dedicated entirely to my artwork. I’ve always been a creative, but this is the first time I’ve gathered it all together and invited you inside my head and into my virtual studio space.
I’m Caroline. For the past fifteen years I’ve been a wedding florist, and all that time spent looking closely at flowers has quietly fed my painting practice. I recently moved to Brighton, started an MA in Creative Practice, and finally made the leap into painting every day.
My work brings together the botanical and the human — flowers and bodies, and what they share across a lifetime.

One corner of my studio is set aside for photography — the other is for much messier play!
My painting is largely abstract, so the photography gives me a different outlet entirely. I love capturing composition — how forms interact with one another, casting light and shadow in unexpected ways.
I’ve been drawn to a dark aesthetic for years, inspired by the Dutch Masters and their way of pulling beauty out of shadow.
